Transition to School
Starting school can be an exciting yet sometimes uncertain experience - for both children and their families. At St Therese School, we understand the importance of easing this transition and helping children feel confident, connected, and ready to learn.
Our Transition-to-School Program is an extended initiative designed to support children as they move from preschool into Reception. Research highlights the significant benefits of a gradual transition, and our program is tailored to reflect that understanding.

Program Structure
- Who can attend: All children enrolled to commence in Reception at St Therese School
- Format: One full day per week (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
- Duration: One school term prior to beginning Reception
- Cost: Free
- Setting: Small group sessions led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher
